SV Tutorial: Soft Focus Effect. WEB DESIGN VIDEOS - PHOTO EDITING VIDEO CLIPS

Learn how to emulate the soft focus effect digitally in Sony Vegas Pro. Note: Soft Focus is not the same as blurring it. Some people are retarded and don\'t know the difference.It\'s good for dream sequences or to create an ethereal mood.\n\nThe version of Vegas Pro I\'m using here is 6.0. I\'m sure it can be done in 7.0 or 8.0. \n\nYou don\'t really have to adjust the contrast, but I always do because I think it looks better. I said use the same contrast setting on both tracks, but you don\'t really have to. You can get different weird effects if you don\'t. \n\nThe soft focus effect is not to be confused with the defocus effect. Learn more about Soft Focus here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soft_focus\n\nThe music is \"Artifact\" by Kevin MacLeod. http://incompetech.com/static/music/\n\nI\'m getting these black bars on the top and bottom of the video. It probably has something to do with the pixel aspect ratio. I uploaded this as a 600x400 .WMV. The reason is because sometime in February, Ihear YouTube will be providing a new feature that allows users to watch videos in their native resolution, so if you upload something larger than 320x240, eventually you\'re going to be able to watch it in a larger screen without loss of quality. The problem is most people upload their videos in 320x240 anyway, so it won\'t make a difference.
