In 1969 the US was in the middle of the Vietnam War. In May is the Tet holiday in Vietnam and there was supposed to be no fighting during this holiday. General Vo Nguyen Giap decide that they should a new barrage of attacks on the US and South Vitamins during this holiday. The Vietcong (is what the bad guys were called) decided to attack the American Embassy in Saigon. Then US forces were sent in to take back the Embassy.
