Beginner Gravity Well Tutorial WEB DESIGN VIDEOS - PHOTO EDITING VIDEO CLIPS

Hello all and welcome to my new and improved Beginner\'s Gravity Well tutorial. I will only be covering the basics in this tutorial. Before I get into the tutorial itself I\'d like to point out that it helps tremendously if you become very acquainted with the keyboard shortcuts. This cuts down on time significantly as there will be A LOT of trail and error involved. It\'s good to know these shortcuts for regular track making also.\n\nThe most used Gravity Well hot keys are as follows:\nQ = Pencil tool\nW = Line Tool\n1 = When pencil tool or line tool is selected chooses non acceleration (blue) line\n3 = When pencil tool or line tool is selected chooses scenery (green) line\nE = Eraser tool\nS = Hold to disable snapping\nShift + LeftMouse Button = To reverse direction of lines (not necessary but occasionally useful).\nY = Play Button\nM = Slow motion (after you press play)\nZ = Zoom in (after you press play)\nX = Zoom out (after you press play)\nShift and Y Simultaneously = to maintain zoom to determine sled nose position.\nU = StopButton\n\n\nOkay, Now for the gravity well basics:\n\nFor beginning gravity wells it\'s usually easier to have the line perpendicular to the nose of the sled. Like this:\n\nhttp://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n9/anomaly76/Perpendicular.jpg \nYou\'ll need to fix the above link (delete the space next to the final \"R\".\n\nAn easy place to try a gravity well when then sled is jumping up in a arc try and grab the tip when possible right as the sled starts to descend from the top of the arc. Sometimes it\'s helpful in edit mode to draw a scenery (green) line as a visual frame of reference.\n\nExample:\n\nI\'vewritten below what I was looking at, for the following example vid.\n\n(Video to left)\n\nI started all set up for the Gravity well so as to not waste your time. I put in a scenery (green) line to help maintain a visual frame of reference.\n\nI tried to place the non acceleration (blue) line a little infront of where the sled starts to drop in the arc at an angle perpendicular to the sled. \n\nAs you can see it took six tries before i got it right. Note: I held down \"S\" when drawing the lines near the other lines to disable snapping.\n\nThe next Gravity Well I tried to hit I got in three tries but I didn\'t like the movement on that one so I erased and began anew.\n\nAfter that it\'s just rinse and repeat. It also helps to zoom in more (Z) and use slow motion (m) to help determine where line placement should be. \n\nThat\'s pretty much it for the beginner Gravity Well tutorial.\nIn the future I will tryto explain:\nHow to get line rider to do arcs/loops \nGravity Well canons (I haven\'t debuted this track yet)\n\nExtra things to keep in mind:\nThe speed of the sled affects where the placement of the non acceleration (blue) line should be.\nIt\'s more difficult to catch a gravity well if the sledder is spinning/rotating/flipping quickly.\nThe angle of the line comes into play. \nAs does length of the lines.\nPlay with all of the above if you\'re still having problems.\n\n\nFor more very good tips check out http://www.linerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=7906 by iamsorrydude.
