So yeah I basically just started in after effects, and that\'s what I created.I did the flourishes in Illustrator and animated them in after effects.Quick how to:\n\n1. Seperate each part that is supposed to be animated seperately in one seperate layer in Illustrator and fill every layer with white, which will probably make them invisible in Illustrator but that doesn\'t matter.\n\n2. Import your .ai file in After effects and choose import as: Composition Crop Layers (I think that\'s what it\'s called, well at least something with layers, there\'s just one ^^)\n\n3. drag all the layers in your composition.\n\n4. Find the layer that\'s supposed to be animated at first and click the 2nd visible button to the left of the layer. This will solo the layerso you only see that one.\n\n5. Take the pen tool and draw a draft line over the layer. (Doesn\'t have to be perfect, just roughly on it)\nAnd make sure you start the line, where the animation of the layer is supposed to start.\n\n6. Apply the effect / filter Generate/Stroke\nto the layer.\n\n7. Change the drawstyle of the filter to: Reveal original Image.\nProbably you have to adjust the stroke size to make it show the whole layer.\n\n8. Now you can try just changing the End Value and your layer should reveal itself.\n\n9. Uncheck the Solo layer button (2nd from the left)\n\n10. Push the timeline to there where your animation of the layer is supposed to start.\n\n11. activate the Keyframe option on the End value of the Stroke filter and set it to 0.\n\n12. Move the timeline to where the animation is supposed to end and set the value to 100, it will set a keyframe automatically.\n\n13. repeat that for every layer you have and you\'ll have a nice growing flourish :D\n\n14. now you should have a nice animation which is white on a black background.\n\n15. Export your video as any Format you want.\n\nNow if you want to use the flourish, simpy create a new Solid layer below the flourish video and set the Mask to Luma Matte. (The mask dropdown menu is left of the Parenting option, all in the layer area)\nIf you don\'t see the mask options just press f4.\nNow you can use your flourish in your actual comp.\nHave fun :D art, experimental, film, flourish, intro, short, tutorial
