Before we start designing and editing websites we must first get the software and load it onto your computer. First off we are going to make a folder on your desktop for the WSFTP program. This all will make sense later its just a couple of things that has to be done to get started.

1. Right click on your desktop, scroll down to New, then left click folder.

We just made a new folder on your desktop that will hold the wsftp program. it should look like this.

2.Rename this folder wsftp.

When its renamed it should look like this.

Now we need to download the wsftp program into the folder we just created.

3. Click on this link, WS_FTP.

You will go to a page and see these two links. This is the wsftp program. The next step is to save this program into the folder on your desktop.

4. Right click on the WS_FTP95.exe link. Scroll down and left click "Save Target As"

This screen will pop up.

5. Left click the arrow at the tip of the red line, then left click desktop as shown on the step 5 image.

6. Double click the folder we created named wsftp. This will open the folder.

7. Left click the save button at bottom right of save as screen as shown at the tip of the red line in image 7 at right.

8. This screen will then pop up after it is fully downloaded to your folder. Click close.

9. Right click on WSFTP32.dll link and left click save target as.

10. The wsftp folder should pop open, because we just saved a file in that folder. Left click save at bottom right of the save as screen.

11. This screen will pop up once the program is fully downloaded into the wsftp folder. Click close.

12. Go to the wsftp folder on your desktop. Double click the folder to open it up.

13. The folder when opened should have these two files.

14. Right click on the WS_FTP95.exe file. Scroll down and left click "Create Shortcut"

15. This is what the shortcut might look like.

16. Right click the Shortcut, then scroll down and left click cut.

17. Go Back to your desktop. Right click your desktop then left click paste.

18. The shortcut to the wsftp program is now on your desktop. This is the link you will use to open this program from now on. This is the program that you will use to upload your website to the internet.

Now we need to download the web design software, but first we need to make a folder for the software.

1. Go to your desktop. Right click, then click New Folder.

It will look something like this.

2. Rename this folder webex.

We are now done making the folder for the web design software. Now we are ready to download the software into this folder.

1.Click this link - WEB EXPRESS. You will see this screen, then click save.

2. Save this zip file onto the desktop. Click the arrow shown at right, then click desktop.

3. Click save at bottom right of this screen.

4. Once this is fully downloaded you will see this screen. Click open.

This screen will open up. If not. Find the webex folder on your desktop, open it up, copy everything in that folder and paste it into the webex folder you created earlier.

Now skip to step 11.

5. Click evaluation version.

This screen will open up.

6. Highlight all of the contents with your cursor.

7. Right click in the area you just highlighted, then click Extract.

8. This screen will come up. Scroll down and click webex.

9. Then click Extract at the bottom right of this screen.

10. Now go to your desktop and locate the webex folder. Double click the webex folder to open it up.

11. Once open it will look something like this.

What we are looking for is the yellow icon that is called "webex.exe".

12. Right click this icon then left click "Create Shortcut".

It will look something like this.

13. Now right click on the shortcut we just made, then left click cut.

14. Go to your desktop and right click, then left click paste.

We have now downloaded and made an icon for the web design software on your desktop. Everytime you want to use this program you will click on this icon to open it.

Now we need to make folders to hold your website.

1. Click the start menu on the bottom left hand corner of your computer. Then click My Computer.

2. When My computer opens you will see Local Disk (C:), Double click the (C:) Drive to open it.

It will look something like this when opened.

3. Click "Make a new folder" as shown by the red arrow.

A new folder will be created on the page. (The new folder is usually created toward the bottom of the screen.)

4. Rename this folder websites. Then double click the websites folder to open it.

5. Once the websites folder is opened click "Make new folder".

It will look something like this.

6. Rename this folder mysite.

Now we are done getting the website folders set up.

Next stop, starting to edit your website.
